✅Course Creation Checklist

Use this checklist to help ensure everything is set up when launching a new course and uploading users.

Creating a Course

• Create the course's Author.

• Create the course's Course Page.

  • Use different blocks to provide information about the course.

  • Add information to the Course Info Box.

  • Add Course By text.

  • Add Due Dates.

  • Ensure the course's Settings meet your needs.

  • Ensure the appropriate Groups have access to the course.

For Single Page Courses,

• Use the Tin Canny Content block to embed the course.

• Ensure Single Page Course is checked.

• Ensure a Completion Condition is set.

Adding Notifications

• Add Notifications for course completion.

• Add Notifications for group enrollment, course availability, etc.

• Add Automations for course reminders or other integrations.

Import Your Users

• Prepare your User Import spreadsheet(s).

  • Remove duplicate emails from the spreadsheet.

  • Clean up data (e.g., duplicate or mismatched Volunteer IDs between your LMS and your data).

  • Determine minimum required columns for import.

• Update the emails for new and returning users (or disable them entirely).

• Import your users.
