Best Practices
There are many ways to use Fringe Learn. Below are some best practices to help you get started.
Embed Videos
When including videos in your courses, it's best practice to embed those videos into the course using a third-party service (such as YouTube, Vimeo, or FringeTV) instead of adding them to the course directly. This will reduce the size of the course file, and improve the user's experience.
Enrol Through Groups
When enrolling users in courses, it is best to enrol them through groups. This allows for much easier management of users and courses. For example, if you want to enrol all users in a course, you can simply add the course to the group. If you want to remove a user from a course, you can simply remove them from the group.
Usernames
Every user is required to have a username. Usernames can be used to log into the site. Once set, usernames cannot be changed. To keep things simple, we recommend using the user's first name and last name. For example, "johnsmith" for John Smith.
