Authors

Authors are displayed as authors of courses. Though not required, they can be a way to publicly recognize those who create a course. Though course authors may not actually be the author of the course, they can be used to indicate a primary contact or any other person you’d like to feature on a course.

Creating Authors

  1. In the navigation menu of the dashboard, select Authors. To add a new Author, click the Add New Author button from the Authors page or from the submenu.

  2. Enter the name of the author in the Title field.

  3. Below the title is a text box, where you can include biographic information. This information should be no more than 85 words.

  4. Below the text box there are Author Fields. You can fill these in as needed, though fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. These fields include:

    • Role E.g., Primary Contact, Course Creator

    • Email Address If included, this will show an email address to learners on the front-end.

    • Social Media Handles Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram

    • Pronouns E.g., They/Them

  5. Near the top-right of the page you can upload a Featured image. Add a photo of your author by selecting Set featured image and either uploading a new file or choosing a previously uploaded photo.

  6. When you're done, click Publish.

Featured images are automatically cropped to a circle. For best results, use a square image.
